Coating quality is decided before parts leave the workshop. Sharp edges need chamfering or grinding to ISO expectations for galvanising and powder. Closed sections need vent and drain holes agreed before weld closure.

We mark lifting points and contact faces that must remain coating-free. Masking is possible but adds cost—better to design uncoated interfaces at bolting surfaces where torque is required.

Transport damage is the silent killer of powder coat. We stillage vertical panels and separate small parts to prevent rub-through in transit.

Involve the coater’s specification at quote. A fabrication quote without coating system context often misses turnaround and venting requirements that add a week to programme.
