Brake work

Press brake forming covers angles, channels, trays, stiffened panels and complex profiles within machine capacity. Tooling selection balances radius, marking and repeatability.

Springback is compensated on first-off; batch runs use stored settings.

Integration

Formed parts are often part of a larger fabrication order so hole patterns stay aligned with cut blanks. When you supply only bending, flat patterns must include bend allowance consistent with our tooling.

Long items may be formed in sections with joint details on the drawing.

Limits

Maximum length, thickness and tonnage depend on current tooling—send drawings for confirmation on unusual gaugings or radii.

Show face orientation should be identified on architectural work.

Tooling marks and radius control

Press brake tools leave predictable bend lines on coated or polished faces. If a face must remain unmarked, identify the show face on the drawing and we select tooling and orientation accordingly.

Acute bends on thick plate may need larger radii than the model shows—first-off approval catches these before a batch is formed wrong.

Length and handling limits

Long trays and flashings are formed in segments when press brake length is exceeded, with joint details shown on the drawing. Splices are either welded, riveted or lapped as you specify.

What clients say

Feedback from contractors and project teams we supply across Melbourne and Victoria.

“Having cutting and welding in one order removed the ‘wrong hole pattern’ problem we had when suppliers were split.”

Fabrication coordinatorOEM equipment · Melbourne

“First-off on the brake was signed before the full batch ran—repeat panels matched across six drops.”
