Options

Powder coating, wet paint and galvanising are coordinated through approved partners when specified. We prepare edges, vents and handling points before items leave for coating.

Masking requirements and high-temperature zones must appear on drawings or order notes.

Preparation

Sharp edges are chamfered or ground to coater requirements. Hollow sections receive vents and drains before closure.

Threads and precision faces may be masked or machined after coat when noted.

Handling

Coated returns are packed to reduce chip damage. Touch-up kits can be supplied for site use by arrangement.

Galvanising vs powder coat

Hot-dip galvanising suits external steel with vented hollow sections and chamfered edges. Powder coat suits controlled colour on prepared steel but needs compatible primer systems on heavy sections.

We drill vents and stagger welds on closed sections before galvanising where your detail does not already show vent holes.

Site touch-up

Touch-up paint or powder repair kits can be supplied for site damage if ordered with the job. Colour codes and batch references should match the applicator’s record.
