Guard frames and access panels for a packaging line upgrade.
Challenge
New packaging line required guards that interfaced with existing interlock switches and allowed tool access for changeovers.
Approach
Guards were modelled from machine scans supplied as PDF sections. Access doors used pinned hinges with captive fasteners. Frames were trial-fitted to a mock footprint in the workshop.
Outcome
Safety sign-off achieved before production ramp. Downtime for guard install limited to one shift.
Delivery
Drawings were issued for fabrication with hold points on survey-critical interfaces. Components were packed in stillages with restraints suited to metro delivery. Early alignment on survey, coating turnaround and install access kept the programme stable for follow-on work.
